RICHIE MADYIRA

Richie Madyira originates from Zimbabwe and was born in 1989. Madyira received a scholarship from British American Tobacco to pursue studies at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, from which he graduated in 2007 with a Diploma in Fine Arts.
Richie’s vibrant paintings mainly feature figures.
The artist’s creations are deeply connected to his personal experiences. He addresses topics ranging from the living conditions in impoverished communities to the challenges he faced as a child, and later as an immigrant – all through his visual storytelling.
